What I heard from someone that was close enough to hear it was that they were basically back and forth saying "you suck" or some other such nonsense and then Kip said something about was that woman who he came with and then some remark about her.
But, you are correct. We wont ever know for sure what really happened.

I still say that penalty box attendant did not help matters either by not even doing a damn thing.
